Saturday, June 14

As a member of the Delaware Democratic Veterans and Military Family Members Caucus (DVMFC), I’m sure you’re as angry and frustrated as we all are about what the Trump administration is doing, whether it’s these cruel and inhumane ICE raids, the again/off again tariffs that are roiling the markets and raising prices, their plans to take a chainsaw to the VA, or all of the above, plus more.
Many of us in the Caucus have taken part in various protests, which is our right and we encourage. This coming weekend, Saturday, June 14, is the “No Kings Day” nationwide rally. We encourage our members to participate in organized events and peacefully protest the Trump administration’s lawless actions. There are four planned events in Delaware:
Wilmington: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/795699/
Georgetown: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/798195/
Bethany Beach: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/798821/
We encourage you to attend one of these, and we hope that you’ll speak out as a veteran opposed to the Trump Administration’s illegal and unconstitutional actions. Our fellow Americans must see veterans standing up for democracy and the rule of law. If you have any questions, need help with signs, or require talking points, please reach out to us at the DVMFC, and we’ll be happy to assist you. You can also visit the No Kings Day organizing page for additional info and a toolkit.
There is an ACLU online seminar on Tuesday, June 10 at 7 pm ET that provides training on your rights during a protest. If you're new to demonstrations or want a refresher, attending is recommended. It’s free, but you have to register.
Good luck, and get out there Saturday and give ‘em hell.
